Important Privacy Notice We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use personal information to provide Services, process payments, support users, improve security, and comply with legal obligations.

1.Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Skills Axis LLC ("Skills Axis," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit or use Skillsaxis.com (the "Platform") and related services, including tutoring, writing support, coaching, scheduling, billing, and support (the "Services").

This Policy applies to Students, Parents/Guardians, Tutors/Teachers, institution representatives, and other visitors.

2.Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account and Profile Information: name, email, phone, hashed password, timezone, education level or grade, subject needs, and preferences.
  • Student Materials and Instructions: documents, drafts, prompts, rubrics, assignment directions, messages, notes, and other materials you submit.
  • Scheduling Details: bookings, availability, cancellations, reschedules, and attendance records.
  • Support Communications: emails, chat messages, tickets, call notes, feedback, and related correspondence.
  • Billing Information: billing name or address where requested, invoices, payment confirmations, and refund requests.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and Usage Information: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, language, pages viewed, actions taken, and timestamps.
  • Logs and Security Information: authentication events, fraud and abuse indicators, error logs, and crash reports.
  • Cookies and Trackers: technologies used for authentication, preferences, performance, analytics, and security.

2.3 Information From Third Parties

  • Payment Processors: payment status, transaction IDs, dispute or chargeback metadata, and fraud signals. We do not receive full card or bank details.
  • Video Providers: meeting or session metadata, such as join time, leave time, and, where enabled, recording artifacts, links, or related metadata.
  • Analytics and Security Providers: aggregated or event-level usage and security signals.
  • Institutions or Guardians: sponsorship, authorization, billing, or student support details where applicable.
Payment Data Notice We do not store full credit card numbers or full banking credentials. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors.

3.Video Tools & Recording

We may use third-party conferencing tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams to deliver Services.

Recording, where enabled: Some sessions may be recorded for quality assurance, training, safety, dispute resolution, or to provide study and review materials where applicable. When recording is enabled, we may process audio or video content, in-session chat, shared screens if you share them, timestamps, and attendance data.

Where required by law, we will seek consent or provide notice before recording. If you do not want to be recorded, you may request a non-recorded session where available or discontinue participation.

4.How We Use Personal Information

  • Provide, personalize, and operate Services, including account creation, tutoring delivery, and scheduling.
  • Process payments, refunds, billing, subscriptions, and invoices.
  • Communicate with you about service notices, reminders, support responses, and policy updates.
  • Improve Service quality and user experience through analytics, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Secure the Platform, prevent fraud, verify identity, and enforce policies.

  • Tutors or Teachers: assigned educational support providers, limited to what is needed to deliver Services.

  • Conferencing Providers: to enable sessions and recording features where enabled.
  • Legal and Compliance Recipients: where required by law, to enforce Terms, or to protect safety and rights.
  • Business Transfer Parties: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or asset sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.

6.Do Not Sell or Share

Skills Axis LLC does not sell your personal information. Skills Axis LLC also does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA ("CCPA/CPRA").

If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any required notices and opt-out mechanisms.

7.Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:
