Clear standards for responsible academic support

Academic support should develop your work—not replace it.

Skills Axis supports learning, research skills, writing development, editing, and knowledge refreshment. Support must strengthen the learner’s own understanding and work; it must not replace authorship, assessment, research judgment, or another responsibility that belongs to the learner.

Permitted support

Help that keeps the learner active and responsible

  • 01Explain concepts, demonstrate methods, ask guiding questions, and provide practice with feedback.
  • 02Help refine a research question, plan a search, evaluate sources, organize evidence, understand citation, and discuss method concepts.
  • 03Give developmental feedback on learner-created plans, notes, paragraphs, drafts, presentations, or research materials.
  • 04Proofread or edit learner-created work within a disclosed and permitted level while preserving meaning, voice, and authorship.
  • 05Help a learner interpret feedback, identify revision priorities, prepare for a session or assessment, and develop reusable study or revision skills.

Prohibited requests

Skills Axis will not replace authorship, evidence, or assessment responsibility

  • 01Impersonating a learner, attending or completing an assessment for them, or using their account or identity.
  • 02Writing, finishing, or supplying assessed work for submission as the learner’s own.
  • 03Creating answers for live, take-home, restricted, or otherwise prohibited assessments.
  • 04Inventing or falsifying sources, quotations, citations, references, participants, approvals, data, analysis, findings, or personal experiences.
  • 05Rewriting work so extensively that authorship, ability, contribution, or use of assistance is misrepresented.
  • 06Evading plagiarism, authorship, proctoring, AI-use, or other integrity controls, or guaranteeing a detection outcome.
  • 07Concealing prohibited collaboration, violating confidentiality, or disregarding institutional, professional, publisher, employer, or funder rules.

Responsibilities on both sides

A responsible service needs informed learners and educators who use the same boundary from the first enquiry through follow-up.

Student responsibilities

  1. 01Check the rules that apply to the course, assessment, institution, employer, publisher, funder, or professional body before requesting support.
  2. 02Describe the task accurately, disclose relevant restrictions, and ask the institution or responsible authority when permission is unclear.
  3. 03Create the ideas and student-owned work, make the research and writing decisions, and complete substantive revisions personally.
  4. 04Read and verify every source, quotation, citation, fact, calculation, data point, interpretation, and final statement used.
  5. 05Review suggestions rather than accepting changes without understanding them, and submit only work the student can explain and defend.
  6. 06Acknowledge or disclose tutoring, editing, AI, research, or other assistance whenever the applicable rules require it.

Educator responsibilities

  1. 01Check that the requested help is within the educator’s competence, the agreed service, and the permitted academic-integrity boundary.
  2. 02Teach, question, demonstrate, guide practice, or provide transparent feedback without taking over the learner’s decisions or assessed work.
  3. 03Use only genuine, traceable sources and never invent citations, evidence, data, findings, approvals, participation, or qualifications.
  4. 04Keep corrections, comments, examples, session recaps, and recommendations proportionate to the agreed scope and clear to the learner.
  5. 05Protect learner information, use approved systems, and never place confidential content in unapproved AI or third-party tools.
  6. 06Pause and refer uncertain, restricted, high-risk, unsafe, or apparently prohibited requests to Skills Axis support before continuing.
  7. 07Document material scope questions or concerns and cooperate with proportionate quality, safety, and integrity review.

The same standard applies from your first question to your final recap

You should receive consistent, responsible support when choosing a service, describing your need, working with an educator, and reviewing the next steps.

Before you choose a service

Our service descriptions explain the learning support available and do not promise ghostwritten work, guaranteed grades, detection avoidance, or completion of a prohibited assessment.

When you tell us what you need

Describe the task, the work you have already completed, and any rules on permitted assistance. If the boundary is unclear, ask us to review the request before you pay.

When we match you with an educator

The educator receives the agreed scope and must provide only appropriate support. If the request changes or crosses a boundary, the educator will pause and ask Skills Axis to review it.

During and after support

Sessions, feedback, corrections, recaps, and next-step recommendations must preserve your authorship, protect your information, and follow the same integrity rules.

If a concern arises

Skills Axis may review the relevant service records, explain the concern, limit or stop the affected support, and apply these standards consistently with applicable law and privacy obligations.

What happens when a request crosses the boundary

Skills Axis responds according to the stage and seriousness of the concern, the recorded scope, applicable policy, and law.

  1. 01If a request is unclear, Skills Axis may review it before payment, confirm a permitted form of support, or explain why the request cannot be accepted.
  2. 02If a concern arises after support begins, Skills Axis may pause the service, ask for clarification, review relevant records, and explain the next step.
  3. 03Confirmed violations may result in refusal of the request, cancellation of the affected service, access restrictions, or account termination under the Terms.
  4. 04Payment or refund treatment depends on the service stage, work already provided, the applicable policy, law, and any non-waivable rights; a violation does not create an automatic refund entitlement.
  5. 05Skills Axis does not determine an institution’s academic outcome. The learner remains responsible for institutional, professional, employment, funding, publication, or legal consequences that may apply.

Governed by applicable U.S. law and Skills Axis policies

Skills Axis academic-integrity standards and conduct are governed by applicable U.S. federal and state laws, together with the published Terms of Service, Payment Policy, Privacy Policy, Licensing Policy, Independent Contractor Policy, and the agreed service scope. Where a mandatory legal requirement conflicts with a policy term, applicable law controls.
