Research decisions remain yours
Make responsible research decisions you can explain and defend.
Develop a focused question, assess sources, organize evidence, understand method choices, plan citations, and revise work you created. Skills Axis guides the process; it does not conduct the research or write the paper for you.
Four areas where guidance can help
Each area supports a decision you must ultimately make, document, and defend yourself.
Question and scope
Test whether the question is clear, researchable, appropriately bounded, and aligned with the permitted task. The student chooses the final question.
Source evaluation
Compare authority, method, relevance, evidence, limitations, currency, and possible bias. The student reads and verifies every source used.
Evidence and structure
Map sources and findings to themes, claims, counterpoints, limitations, and sections without generating the paper itself.
Methods and citation
Explain research and citation concepts where qualified expertise exists, while leaving method choices, analysis, interpretation, and disclosure with the student.
What research support covers—and where it stops
Research guidance can clarify choices and strengthen skills. It cannot create evidence, results, decisions, or assessed writing on your behalf.
Skills Axis can
- Discuss research questions, keywords, databases, source types, and evaluation criteria
- Explain method concepts, evidence organization, synthesis, citation, and revision
- Give feedback on student-created proposals, evidence maps, sections, or drafts
- Identify open questions, limitations, unsupported claims, and next research steps
Skills Axis cannot
- Conduct assessed research, write the paper, or make final research decisions for you
- Fabricate participants, approvals, data, analysis, findings, citations, or references
- Manipulate results, conceal limitations, misrepresent authorship, or evade integrity checks
- Promise a final document, exact rubric outcome, grade, publication result, or urgent completion
Your research responsibilities
Guidance does not replace institutional approval, supervisor direction, source verification, or accountable research judgment.
- 01
Obtain required permissions, ethics approval, consent, access, and supervisor guidance
- 02
Choose and justify the question, sources, method, analysis, interpretation, and conclusions
- 03
Verify every source, quotation, citation, data point, and factual claim
- 04
Write and revise the paper and disclose assistance where required
Some research requests need review before payment.
Human review is required before payment when the request involves restricted assessments, unclear authorship, unverified data, ethics or consent concerns, requests to create findings or analysis, inaccessible sources, or assistance rules that are not clear.
Describe the general issue first. Do not send identifiable participant information, confidential datasets, credentials, or unpublished sensitive material.
A milestone-based guidance process
- 01
Define the inquiry
We refine the research question, boundaries, purpose, and evidence needed to answer it responsibly.
- 02
Organize the evidence
Sources are assessed for relevance and credibility, then mapped to themes, claims, or analytical sections.
- 03
Develop the paper
Guidance connects the method, evidence, analysis, discussion, citations, and revision priorities into one consistent paper.
